Vault Chicago is a weekly training clinic for Chicagoland pole vaulters, held Sundays from 10-noon year round. All levels of vaulters are welcome, the majority of participants are high school vaulters but junior high, elementary school, college, post-collegiate, and recreational vaulters are all welcome. If you’re looking for a place to learn how to pole vault, or to get some extra practice, Vault Chicago is the place!
Open Door Policy: Parents, coaches, friends, and siblings, are always welcome to come and watch, learn, hang out.
Vault Chicago is run by me, Dan Turvey! I am a former D1 college vaulter from UC Davis in California, where I jumped a personal best of 5.06 or 16′ 7 1/4″. I have coached at a number of different locations around Chicago, both at the High School and College level.
In 2018 I took over Vault Chicago from Tim Johnson, who founded the organization in 2004, and has since retired to Florida.
